SinceNow vs DayCount: Which Days Since App Fits You? (2026)
Disclosure: we make SinceNow, so we’re not neutral. Every fact about DayCount below comes from its App Store listing (checked on 15 October 2026). Where the listing doesn’t say something, we say “not listed” instead of guessing. Ratings change daily, so treat them as a snapshot.
The short answer
- Pick DayCount if everyone in your home uses an iPhone, you want home-screen and lock-screen widgets today, and you count down to dates as much as you count up from them.
- Pick SinceNow if anyone in your home uses Android, you want it on a computer too, or you want a note saved every time you do something, like the mileage at an oil change or the dose you gave.

Where DayCount is stronger
- Widgets, today. DayCount has customizable home-screen and lock-screen widgets. SinceNow doesn’t have widgets yet. We’re building them, but if a number on your home screen is what you need right now, DayCount has it.
- Dates in both directions. Countdowns to birthdays and trips are a core part of DayCount, along with repeating events, calendar import and a daily summary notification.
- Polish and track record. DayCount has been around since 2016, with tens of thousands of ratings. It also offers Siri and Shortcuts support and a Face ID lock, which SinceNow doesn’t.
Where SinceNow is stronger
- Every platform. SinceNow runs on iPhone, Android and in any web browser, with one account synced between them. DayCount is for Apple devices only. If your partner has an Android phone, you can’t share a list in DayCount.
- What happened, not just when. Every time you reset a task in SinceNow, it’s saved in a history with an optional note: “5W-30, 48,200 km”, “Brita Maxtra”, “5 ml at 2 a.m.” After a year you have a logbook, not just a number. This is free.
- Ready-made templates. 32 templates for the home, the car, health and pets get you started without a blank screen.
- Free without ads. Unlimited tasks, the full history with notes, categories, countdowns and sync are free, with no ads. Premium adds reminders, counter tasks, statistics and export.
