The Best Days Since Apps in 2026: An Honest Comparison

Updated October 12, 2026

Disclosure: we make SinceNow, so we’re not neutral. To keep this useful, every fact about other apps below comes from their public App Store and Google Play listings, checked in October 2026. Where we couldn’t verify something, we left it out. Ratings change daily, so treat the numbers as a snapshot.

What is a days since app?

A days since app (also called a “last time tracker”) answers one question: how long has it been since I last did this? You add a task, tap reset when you do it again, and the app shows the days, hours or minutes since. People use them for home and car maintenance, medicine and check-ups, pets, and quitting habits.

How to choose

  • Your phones. Most apps in this category are iPhone-only. If anyone in your household uses Android, or you want a web version on your laptop, that narrows the list fast.
  • One focus or many. Some apps are built for one use case (quitting a habit). Others are general-purpose trackers for everything you do every few weeks or months.
  • History. Do you only need the current count, or a log of every past time, with notes like the price, mileage or dose?
  • Reminders and widgets. Decide whether you want the app to nudge you, or just to answer when you ask.

The apps

SinceNow — general-purpose, iPhone + Android + web

Platforms: iOS, Android, web · Price: free core with no ads; Premium subscription with a 2-week trial

You add a task (from 33 templates or your own), reset it when you do it, and SinceNow shows the days, hours and minutes since. Every reset is kept in a history with an optional note, like “16x25x1 filter, $11” or “5 ml, 101.4°F”. Tasks are organized in color-coded categories, and future dates work as countdowns. Premium adds reminders, counter tasks, statistics and data export.

Best for: households that mix iPhone and Android, and anyone who tracks a long list of recurring things and wants the history.

Days Since: Quit Habit Tracker — quitting habits, iPhone

Platforms: iOS · Ratings: about 4.8★ from roughly 17,000 ratings (US App Store, October 2026)

The best-known app in the category, built around quitting habits and sobriety, with statistics added in a 2025 update. If your goal is “days since my last drink” on an iPhone, it’s the most established option.

Best for: iPhone users focused on quitting a habit.

DayCount — counting days since and until, Apple devices

Platforms: iPhone, iPad, Mac · Ratings: about 26,000 ratings (October 2026)

A long-running, polished counter for days since and days until events, available across Apple’s platforms.

Best for: Apple-only users who want a clean counter for events and dates.

Chronicling — flexible event logging, iPhone and Mac

Platforms: iOS, macOS · Ratings: about 4.7★ from 162 ratings · Price: subscription or lifetime

A flexible event tracker that MacStories reviewed favorably for its design. Good if you like to log events in detail and you’re all-in on Apple devices.

Best for: Apple users who want detailed event logs.

Days Since (Pigmal) — Android

Platforms: Android · Installs: 100,000+ on Google Play, updated July 2026

One of the most installed days since counters on Android.

Best for: Android-only users who want a straightforward counter.

Newer last-time trackers

2025–2026 brought a wave of new “last time” apps, among them LastTime, LastTap, DoneAgo, Sincey and Daystreak. Nearly all of them are iPhone-only and still have few ratings, so it’s early to judge them. Daystreak stands out for home-screen widgets and shareable posters.
